Dr Arthur Tseng is an experienced consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, specialising in Urogynaecology and Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery at Gleneagles Hospital. He obtained his basic medical and professional qualifications from the United Kingdom, before pursuing further training with world renowned Urogynaecologist, Professor Linda Cardozo, at King’s College Hospital, London.
Dr Tseng's expertise covers urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse, apart from that, his particular interests lies in the holistic management of functional bladder disorders like Overactive Bladder Syndrome and Painful Bladder Syndrome/Interstitial Cystitis. With many years of experience in this field, he is committed to providing patients with comprehensive and effective treatments. He is dedicated to helping women achieve improved pelvic health, so that they can enjoy a better quality of life.
Prior to joining Gleneagles Hospital, Dr Tseng worked at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital as part of a specialist team. There he strived to raise awareness about pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence, offering effective treatments and cures for conditions which can significantly reduce quality of life for many women.
In raising public awareness about urogynaecological conditions, Dr Tseng has been an active speaker at numerous forums and events organised by the Singhealth cluster, KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, the Obstetric and Gynaecological Society of Singapore (OGSS) and the Society for Continence (Singapore).
Dr Tseng is also a regularly invited speaker at both local and international Obstetric and Gynaecological conferences, imparting his expertise on topics such as the management of Urinary Tract Infections, Overactive Bladder Syndrome and Stress Urinary Incontinence. He has been recognised for his research work in this field, receiving awards for “Best Paper” presentations.
Apart from his work commitments, Dr Tseng previously divided his time between teaching as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, and at the Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School. He was also a council member of the Obstetrical & Gynaecological Society of Singapore (OGSS), since 2007 onwards; having served as Honorary Treasurer for the council, from 2008 to 2010. Dr Tseng has been involved in many public forums, scientific congresses and charitable, fund-raising activities under the umbrella of the OGSS.
